'My Thoughts' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

I'm really excited to share this month's kit with you, because it's a bit of a departure from my usual releases! While awaiting (anxiously!) the arrival of an order of notebooks for the kit that was supposed to be released this month, I whipped up this album instead. I'll release the notebook album kit as soon as the order arrives, but for now, I've got a real hands-on kit for you!

Normally, the pages of my albums are chipboard covered with patterned paper. However, this month's album just contains paper pages. It's sort of a journal/smash book/photo album that I think you'll find all kinds of uses for!

Let me first say that you will be able to bind this album however you'd like, as it will arrive un-punched. That means you can use your Bind-It-All, Cinch, or even your Cropodile and some binder rings - whatever you've got! As you can see, I used my Cinch. Now, for those of you who don't have a binding tool, you can specify when you purchase that you'd like me to punch holes for you and include the binder rings I normally use.

The album has got die-cut chipboard front and back covers, and 11 patterned paper pages. There are also 7 half-pages and 2 longer foldout pages for photos or journaling, along with a die-cut pocket and plenty of leftover cardstock for adding other inserts, page tabs, and flags.

The cardstock is a nice hefty slightly textured cardstock by Carta Bella, called 'So Noted'. It's got soft blues and greens, with a 12x12 sheet of stickers that also use reds and yellows. Once you've assembled your book, you can have a ball adding stickers to each page! I've also included a roll of Teresa Collins decorative tape.

'Family Traditions' Chipboard Mini Album

 

If you've been waiting for a family photo album you can set out for display, your wait is over! I designed this month's 'Family Traditions' mini album kit as a display piece. Featuring shades of blue, green, red, yellow, and cream, it's sure to look great on any coffee table, side table, or living room shelf.

It's made with Carta Bella's 'Traditions' paper collection, and the papers have a lovely texture to them, giving them a sort of antiqued feel. I've included THREE sheets of stickers with this kit, so you'll be able to embellish each page to suit your photos. Two of the sticker sheets are the same, so you can cut the duplicate to layer, creating your own 3-d embellishments.

There are so many gorgeous patterns in this collection, and they mix and match so well that you'll also be able to put your pages in any order you want without them clashing. I designed the pages to all be vertical portrait style so the album will stand up, then you can rotate the photos on display by flipping the pages. You can just as easily use horizontal, landscape photos and lay the album on its side for some or all of the pages if you prefer.

'Let It Snow' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

 

Our February kit is here just in time for your winter scrapping! I've used another fabulous paper line by Echo Park, called 'Winter Wishes'. There are 5 chipboard pages in this charming mini album, each one full of cute little Echo Park characters, including penguins, owls, and snowmen.  The pages are just begging to hold your family photos of ski outings, sledding fun, the first snowfall of the season, snowball fights, ice skating at the local pond, and building the biggest snowman!

This Echo Park collection comes with a 12x12 sheet of various sized cards to cut out and add to your pages for journaling, photo mats, or just to use as embellishments as I've done on some of the pages.  I've also included THREE SHEETS of plain, slightly distressed sheets to cut up and use for photo mats or use as embellishments on your pages. 'My Everyday Life 2013' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

This month I'm starting out with a kit for next year! I wanted to be sure you had enough time to make your albums ahead of the holidays and the new year so that all you have to do is add your photos and journaling starting on January first.

This mini album is an updated version of last January's 'My Everyday Life 2012'. It's an album meant to hold all of your everyday moments in 2013.

This time I used a new Pebbles collection called Seen & Noted. Talk about gorgeous colors! No matter what I did with my camera and lights, I couldn't capture these beautiful colors authentically. Two shades of blues, green, an orangey-red, yellow, and two greys make up the palette. The colors were so pretty that I decided to buy the matching textured cardstock, and I used it to create the monthly page dividers.

I threw in some acrylic page protectors to really simplify things this year as well. Then I added a booklet of journaling prompts so that you can just tear out a prompt, record your thoughts, and slip the card into the perfectly sized pockets! I also included a paper pocket to hold extra photos and "stuff" that didn't fit into the page protectors. And with TWO sets of matching stickers and some washi tape stickers, you won't run out of embellishments until the last page!

There are 3 chipboard pages in this mini album, 12 cardstock monthly dividers/pages to hold photos and stickers, and 12 page protectors.

'Admit One to Summer Fun' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

I'm so excited about this month's chipboard mini album kit! (But then, when am I not?!)

The paper collection I used is called "Summer Fresh" by Simple Stories, and it's bright, happy and fun! I've had my eye on this paper line for a while now, and am so excited I finally got to play with it!

This little album is chock full of summery things like picnic baskets, lemonade, hot air balloons, kites, and tons of flowers. There are also tons of fun Bingo cards! In fact, there is an entire 12x12 sheet of Simple Stories Bingo cards for you to cut up and include wherever and however you'd like!

This mini album measures 5-3/4" wide by 5-1/2" high, and has 3 different shaped pages: one notched corner page, one bracket-edged page, and one scallop-edged narrow page.  I also included 2 paper pocket pages to hold extra photos.

There are 5 chipboard pages in this mini album, which translates to 8 embellished pages PLUS the front and back covers, along with the 2 paper pocket pages and as many Simple Stories cards as you want to add. I made the front cover out of 2 pages, because the first page is a sort of half-page with a scalloped edge. So I hope you can tell that I split the title across the two front pages!

'Sweet Life' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

I'm so excited about this month's chipboard mini album kit! I just love the paper collection and the new die I got to use. The die is a rounded-top door, and includes cute little hardware pieces like hinges and doorknobs, which turned out adorable, cut from metallic cardstock.

The paper collection is called "Saturdays" by Little Yellow Bicycle. The idea with this mini album is to scrap your family photos of life at home on those relaxing weekends. It's got light, airy colors and patterns, with lots of chunky 3-D elements and acrylic printed die-cuts.

There are felt flowers with really cool brad centers, some beautiful gathered ribbons and crochet trim, a custom red heart flair button from my favorite button designer, and stick pins galore! My favorite is the kraft cardstock flag stickpin that you will assemble and can decorate however you'd like. I liked the kraft color, and just left mine plain.

This month's mini album measures 5-3/4" wide by a whopping 10-1/2" high! The real estate is plentiful in this kit! I added around 10 large photo mats, but you can fit quite a few more pictures than that if you prefer. I've also included a sheet of tomato-red Thickers alphas to add interest to your pages as well.

There are 5 chipboard pages in this mini album, which translates to 8 embellished pages plus the front and back covers.

'Life is Sweet' Chipboard Album Kit

It's got hearts, it's got hugs, and it's sugary sweet and just lovely! I really like everything in this one, from the pink roses, to the doilies and the teacups, but mostly the tiny tags hanging from strings!

Like last month's kit, this month's is a bright, happy, cheerful little mini album kit. Only this month's really is a mini album! At only 4-1/2" x 5-1/2", it's meant to hold a bunch of cute little photos. 'What I Like About You' Chipboard Album Kit

Are you as happy as I am that Spring has arrived? The weather's been so nice, it just felt like the right time for a bright, cheery, "Spring-y" kind of album kit! One with plenty of butterflies, so there was no mistaking the time of year!

Each of the five chipboard pages in this fun butterfly album is a different shape, and includes a butterfly shaped page. I've designed it so that you can make some of the photo mats and other embellishments into pockets to slip in extra photos or tags, and I've even included some extra woodgrain paper so you can make some matching tags.

'Halloween Fun' Chipboard Mini Album Kit

OK, no mini album kit shop is complete without a Halloween album kit! Even though we've already released a Fall-themed album this month, I just couldn't keep myself from making just a small Halloween kit!  Halloween is one of my favorite crafting times of the year - I just love the blacks, oranges, greens, and purples!

This album is the same size and shape as the Fall album: 5-3/4"x5-3/4", with a jack-o-lantern on the cover. Ever since I first saw it, I've loved the pumpkin album Traci Armbrust at Accucut.com created and I actually COPIED her cover!! I hope that imitation truly is the sincerest form of flattery, because I just HAD to recreate it! The front cover boasts a chipboard jack-o-lantern with a purple swirl and mulberry paper flower on top. Oh - and purple glittery bats!

'Our Day' June Chipboard Project: Wedding Guest Book

 

Well, it's June, and that of course means it's time for June brides & weddings, along with chipboard mini albums made for guests' signatures, well wishes, and photos!

This little chipboard album is filled with blank pages for your guests to record their fondest memories of the bride, groom, the couple together, wedding ceremony, or reception. Then, since so many people leave disposable cameras on each of the tables at the reception, it can also be filled with some of the photos that don't make it into the formal wedding album. You know the ones: Aunt Jodie doing the chicken dance at the reception, the couple's "friends" decorating the getaway car, and everyone making faces at the camera! You can hand write the word "photo" inside the boxes on each page to reserve space for photos, then let your guests write everywhere else. Following the reception, photos can be added to the boxes - meant to be either journaling boxes or photo mats/frames. You can put pictures from the table cameras of the guests next to their signatures and wishes! You'll also get an entire 12x12 sheet of Create Paper cardstock die-cuts to decorate the pages with. 'Our Day' June Chipboard Album Kit

 
Well, it's June, and that of course means it's time for June brides & weddings, along with chipboard mini albums made for holding wedding photos!

This little chipboard album is a less formal photo album than the one you get from the wedding photographer. This one is made for a girlfriend to give the bride, filled with some of the photos that don't make it into the formal album. You know the ones: Aunt Jodie doing the chicken dance at the reception, the couple's "friends" decorating the getaway car, and everyone making faces at the camera! But it's also ready to hold the beautiful photos that every bride will want to treasure forever. And it's got more pages than any album we've offered so far! In fact, it's so thick I had to order larger binder rings to hold it together!

This, I must say, was SO much fun to design and create that I just didn't want to stop! I love, love, LOVE this paper and all the embellishments! It's Crate Paper's 'Portrait' collection, and it's just gorgeous! It's got the typical blacks, whites, and greys of most formal wedding papers, then some fun, less austere colors thrown in to relax it a bit: aquas and teals, yellows, reds, and some pretty brown. The brown is used in a wood-look pattern, which is really neat. Then there are pin dots, brocades, stripes, flowers, and other patterns. It's really a great set of papers, and I wish every line I worked with was this much fun!

You will notice that I got to use some new dies as well, which is always fun for me. I'd gotten a dress die that worked perfectly as a wedding gown, especially when cut out of chipboard and decorated! Then the overall album shape is new: it's a 3-tab 6-1/2x6-1/2" page with a larger cover that has a cutout in the center. It's defintely become my favorite, and I think you'll really like it too.

'Valentine Love' Chipboard Album Kit

 

I'm excited to finally get to reveal our January release! Once again, we've chosen an absolutely gorgeous line of scrapbook paper and embellishments by My Mind's Eye called 'Lost & Found'. This line of papers has an old-time, vintage feel to it, and features faded brocades and newsprint, regal crowns and jewels, and French details! The creamy, muted beige pages have an aged look to them, as if they were recently unearthed from an antique trunk in someone's Parisian attic. These neutral shades are revved up with some bold black and white broad stripes and polka dots, and then the whole collection is sprinkled with the most extreme and vibrant red glitter!

The Accucut dies we used for the chipboard pages of this beautiful album have three unique shapes in two different sizes, all held together at the top by a single binder ring. Once again, our designer has created a cover that's so delicious you could eat it with a spoon! And inside you'll find one great embellished page after another. Many of the chipboard die-cuts are custom made by scrapkit studio, including the giant fleur de lis, the script 'love', and the heart-shaped lock and keys to your heart! We've also thrown in some paper and cardstock custom die-cuts, like the crown border that you'll have fun decorating with red gems, the tiny button banner strung above the Eiffel Tower, and the bird and cage on the album cover.
